ALBUQUERQUE, NM - Drivers were facing rush-hour traffic backups following a crash in Albuquerque on Monday morning.
According to the New Mexico Department of Transportion's NMRoads report, the accident happened on Interstate 40 eastbound at mile marker 157 at 12th Street shortly after 8 a.m.
The right lane of I-40 east was shut down as emergency crews responded to the scene. Motorists were advised to expect heavy delays through the area.
