ALBUQUERQUE, NM - A man was arrested after a police chase ended with a crash in northwest Albuquerque last week.
According to a report by KRQE, the incident began in the area of Menaul Boulevard and 2nd Street at about 8:30 p.m. March 3. A criminal complaint stated that an Albuquerque police tried to pull over Colt Dalton after he sped through a red light, but that Dalton took off in his vehicle. He allegedly sped through another red light at 6th Street as police pursued him.
According to police, Dalton crashed his SUV near 12th Street and fled on foot when the officer arrived, but he was apprehended shortly afterwards.
Dalton now faces multiple charges, including aggravated fleeing, leaving the scene of an accident, and drug trafficking.
