ALBUQUERQUE, NM - A man has pleaded guilty in connection with a fatal 2019 car accident in Albuquerque, reports KRQE.

27-year-old Joshua Applegate was charged after police said he struck another vehicle in the area of McMahon Boulevard and Unser Boulevard.  The other driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

Applegate pleaded guilty last week to charges of homicide by vehicle and reckless driving.  He faces a maximum sentence of four years in prison.  One month before the fatal wreck, Applegate was arrested for driving while intoxicated after going 30 miles over the speed limit on Coors Boulevard.
