BERNALILO, NM - An accident on I-25 southbound near Jefferson Street in Bernalillo has caused major traffic delays on Thursday morning.
According to the New Mexico Department of Transportation, the accident occurred at around 10:00 am and has resulted in two middle lanes being blocked. The cause of the accident is still unknown, and it is unclear how many vehicles were involved.
As a result of the accident, traffic has been backed up for several miles in both directions, causing significant delays for commuters. The NMDOT has advised drivers to avoid the area if possible and to use alternative routes.
