ALBUQUERQUE, NM - A judge has ruled that the suspect in a fatal accident in Albuquerque last month will remain in jail until his trial, KRQE reports.
The ruling was issued in the case of Jamese Rodriguez, who is charged in connection with the crash in the area of Menaul Boulevard and Mesilla Street on Feb. 10.
Police said Rodriguez was behind the wheel of a truck headed east on Menaul Boulevard at about 9 p.m. when the vehicle went onto a curb and struck a woman on the sidewalk, killing her.
Rodriguez was arrested under suspicion of DWI. The judge in the case agreed with the prosecution's contention that he should be held until trial, citing previous criminal cases in which he was charged.
