SANTA FE, NM - Police said a pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run incident in Santa Fe early Wednesday morning.
According to KRQE, officers were called to the scene in the vicinity of St. Francis Drive and Sawmill Road at about 3:30 a.m. A man who had been struck by a vehicle was found in the roadway. The victim, who was not immediately identified, was pronounced dead after being transported to St. Vincent's Hospital.
Police said the driver involved fled the scene of the crash, and no description of the vehicle was available.
Anyone with further information on the accident was asked to contact the Santa Fe Police Department as they continue their investigation.
