ALBUQUERQUE, NM - Police were called to the scene of a fatal pedestrian accident in southeast Albuquerque last week, KRQE reports.
The incident happened early Friday morning in the vicinity of Central Avenue and Laguayra Drive near San Pedro Drive. Officers responding to reports of shots fired at about 5 a.m. found that a person appeared to have been struck by a vehicle.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. There was no immediate information regarding the driver or vehicle involved. Central Avenue was closed through the area for the crash investigation.
