ALBUQUERQUE, NM - Albuquerque police released details of an accident that left a pedestrian critically injured recently.
A report by KOAT states that the incident occurred Dec. 10 in the vicinity of Central Avenue SE and Indiana Street SE.
An investigation indicated that a woman was stepping off the curb at a bus stop shortly before 6:30 p.m. when she walked into the road in front of a Subaru Forester and was struck. The victim was transported to an area hospital, where she was listed in critical condition.
Central Avenue was shut down eastbound for the crash investigation. Police determined that the driver involved was going below the speed limit, did not appear to have been impaired, and did not cause the incident.
