SOUTH BEND, IN - The Indiana Department of Transportation alerted drivers to a truck accident affecting traffic in St. Joseph County on Tuesday afternoon.
According to a post on INDOT TrafficWise at 12 p.m., the crash involved a semi-trailer and occurred in the area of US 20 and Indiana 331 near Elm Road, about four miles east of South Bend. The incident resulted in a fuel spill, and the entrance ramp to the highway was closed while emergency crews responded to the scene.
Motorists were advised that the closure would continue for about three hours.
