Semi-truck crash blocks lanes on I-65 through downtown Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - The Indiana Department of Transportation alerted drivers to a crash that was causing delays in the North Split through downtown Indianapolis during Wednesday morning's commute.

INDOT TrafficWise posted an advisory about the incident at 5:37 a.m., saying that it happened on Interstate 65 northbound between St. Clair Street and 10th Street.  WXIN reported the accident involved a semi-truck that ended up on its side.

All lanes were blocked on the interstate while crews responded to the scene, and traffic was being diverted onto Interstate 70 eastbound.  The DOT estimated it would take up to four hours for the wreck to be cleared.  No injuries were reported.
