The hits just keep coming for Polaris. The company now boasts 8 recalls for 2022. Polaris has issued two new recalls in the last week. Here is what our ATV lawsuit attorneys say you need to know:
July 19, 2022
- Polaris recalls some 2020-2022 RZR XP 1000, RZR XP Turbo, and RZR Turbo S Velocity and 2020-2022 General 1000 and General XP 1000 Models
- Affects roughly 39,000 vehicles globally.
- These vehicles have steering wheels that are separating resulting in loss of control, crash hazards, and potential serious injury.
- So far, there have been 48 reports of broken steering wheels, 9 rollovers, and 5 injuries.
“Loss of steering is up there with the loss of brakes in terms of primary driving fears,” states journalist Lewin Day of The Drive. A valid fear considering that steering control is critical to vehicle control.

- Polaris issues stop ride/stop sale for some model 2022 Patriot boost RMK KHAOS and Patriot Boost PRO RMK Snowmobiles
- Affects roughly 3,800 units globally.
- These vehicles pose a risk of primary drive clutch bolt failure causing the clutch to be separated from the unit.
- So far, there have been 24 reports of failure.
