2 drivers injured, 1 critically, in wrong-way crash on I-94

KALAMAZOO, MI - Michigan State Police said two drivers were injured in a wrong-way collision on Interstate 94 in Kalamazoo County Monday morning.

According to details reported by WWMT, the driver of an Acura was going east in the westbound lanes at about 10:15 a.m. and collided head-on with a Dodge pickup truck near Portage Road.

The driver of the Acura, a 26-year-old man from Kalamazoo, was transported to Bronson Hospital in critical condition.  The driver of the Dodge, a 29-year-old Appleton, Wisconsin man, was transported to the same hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

The incident shut down a stretch of I-94 for over an hour for the crash investigation, which is ongoing.
