GEORGETOWN TOWNSHIP, MI - A collision in Georgetown Township late Wednesday night sent both drivers to the hospital, the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office said.
WOOD reported details of the incident, which occurred in the vicinity of Jackson Street and 8th Avenue. An investigation found that the driver of a Ford F-150 was going west at about 11 p.m. and failed to stop at a stop sign. The Ford crashed into a car going north on 8th Avenue, and the impact sent both vehicles into a nearby yard.
The Ford driver, a 41-year-old man from Grand Rapids, and the other driver, a 69-year-old Hudsonville man, were hospitalized with undisclosed injuries.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the wreck.
