CASS COUNTY, MI - A collision involving a car and a truck in Cass County last Thursday sent two people to the hospital, according to a WBND report.
The incident happened in Jefferson Township at about 5:42 p.m. The Cass County Sheriff's Office said the driver of the car was headed north on Oil City Road and disregarded a stop sign at the intersection with Monette Street. The vehicle crashed into a truck headed east on Monette Street, causing it to roll over.
The first driver, 33-year-old Allison Sharp of Elkhart, and a passenger were taken to Elkhart General Hospital with minor injuries. Authorities are investigating the crash and said it does not appear that alcohol was a contributing factor.
