Collision in Otsego Township leaves bicyclist critically injured

OTSEGO TOWNSHIP, MI - An accident in Allegan County on Monday afternoon sent a bicycle rider to the hospital, according to a WKZO report.

Police said the bicyclist was hit by a vehicle at 104th Avenue and 18th Street in Otsego Township at about 3:45 p.m. The rider was taken to an area hospital and was listed in critical condition. The driver of the vehicle was not injured.

The Allegan County Sheriff's Office said it is not believed at this time that speed or alcohol were contributing factors in the collision. The area was shut down for the crash investigation.
