Car crash on M-60 in Penn Township sends woman to hospital

CASS COUNTY, MI - A two-vehicle collision in Cass County on Saturday afternoon left one of the drivers injured, authorities said.

A report by MLive.com stated that the crash happened on M-60 near Shore Acres Road in Penn Township.  According to the Cass County Sheriff's Office, an 18-year-old Cassopolis was making a left turn into a private business at about 3 p.m. when her vehicle was struck by another vehicle driven by an 18-year-old man from Gobles.

The woman was transported to South Bend Memorial Hospital for treatment.  Details of her condition were not immediately released.

Authorities investigating the crash said drugs or alcohol did not appear to have been contributing factors.  Both drivers were wearing their seat belts.
