THORNAPPLE TOWNSHIP, MI - The Barry County Sheriff's Office said a collision in Thornapple Township on Sunday afternoon left one driver dead and another injured.
According to WWMT, a driver making a turn from Gackler Road onto Cherry Valley Road failed to yield to an oncoming car that had the right of way shortly before 3 p.m. The two cars crashed and both went up in flames.
The driver of the first vehicle, a 58-year-old Middleville man, was pronounced dead after being flown to an area hospital. The other driver remains hospitalized with injuries that were not life-threatening.
