Crash on East Beltline Avenue in Grand Rapids kills 1, injures 4

GRAND RAPIDS, MI - Grand Rapids police are investigating a fatal 2-vehicle wreck that occurred on Monday night.

A report by WOOD TV states that the incident took place at the intersection of East Beltline Avenue and Burton Street. An investigation indicated that a driver going south on East Beltline collided with another vehicle at about 8:10 p.m.

A woman driving one of the vehicles died at the scene. The other driver was hospitalized in serious condition, while three passengers in the second vehicle were listed in stable condition.

The southbound lanes of East Beltline were shut down to traffic during the crash response and investigation.
