PORTAGE, MI - A school bus was involved in a multi-vehicle collision in Portage last week, according to Portage Public Safety.
WZZM reported that the incident took place Tuesday morning in the area of Milham Avenue and Angling Road. Authorities said the bus crashed into the back of a car that was stopped at the traffic light on Milham Avenue at about 7:15 a.m. The crash caused a fender-bender with a third vehicle.
The driver of the car that was initially struck by the bus, a 46-year-old woman from Kalamazoo, was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
15 students were on the bus at the time, three of whom were released to their parents at the scene. The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
