Driver injured when vehicle crashes into trees in Jefferson Township

JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP, MI - A single-vehicle crash in Cass County on Tuesday morning sent a driver to the hospital, police said.

A report by WMMT states that the wreck occurred on Pine Lake Street in Jefferson Township.  An investigation determined that a man lost control of his car at about 7:50 a.m., drove off the roadway, and crashed into several trees.

The motorist, a 33-year-old Niles man, was transported to South Bend Memorial Hospital.  No details were released on his condition.  

The man was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the incident, police said.
