Man critically injured when car hits tractor in Georgetown Township

GEORGETOWN TOWNSHIP, MI - Authorities said a man operating a tractor was rushed to the hospital following a collision with a car in Georgetown Township on Wednesday morning, according to WWMT.

The incident occurred as the victim was using a snow blower attached to a John Deere lawn tractor at the end of a driveway on Rosewood Street.  According to the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office, a man driving a 2017 Cadillac XT5 drove off the right shoulder of the road and crashed into the tractor, which rolled onto its side.

The tractor operator, a 63-year-old Jenison man, was hospitalized in critical condition.  The driver of the car, an 84-year-old man from Gowen, was not injured.
