GRAND RAPIDS, MI - The Grand Rapids Police Department is investigating a fatal accident involving a moped that occurred on Friday morning.
WZZM reports the crash happened in the vicinity of Division Avenue South and 28th Street. A preliminary investigation determined that a man was driving a moped north on Division Avenue South at about 7:30 a.m. when he was hit by a southbound car making a turn onto 28th Street.
The moped rider, whose name was not released, was pronounced dead at the scene. No one else was injured in the incident.
