Motorcyclist killed in collision with truck on Blue Star Highway

ALLEGAN COUNTY, MI - The Allegan County Sheriff's Office said a motorcycle and a truck were involved in a fatal collision last Thursday afternoon.

According to MLive.com, the accident happened along Blue Star Highway near 107th Avenue in Casco Township. The sheriff's office said the motorcyclist collided with a truck that was hauling a trailer just before 2:30 p.m.

The male motorcyclist, whose name was not immediately released, was pronounced dead after being taken to Holland Hospital.

The sheriff's office is continuing to investigate the crash, and said it does not believe that speed or alcohol were contributing factors.
