WEST LAFAYETTE, IN - A driver was killed in a single-vehicle accident in Tippecanoe County early Tuesday morning, the Journal & Courier reports.
The victim was identified as 25-year-old Turki Faisal Aljarbou of Saudi Arabia. The Tippecanoe County Sheriff's Office said Aljarbou was driving a Dodge pickup truck south on Klondike Road at about 3:10 a.m. and did not stop at the stop sign at the intersection with Indiana 26.
The vehicle went through the intersection, became airborne and crashed into several trees.
Aljarbou was pronounced dead at the scene. The sheriff's office said he was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. No one else was in the vehicle.
