Portion of I-196 in Allegan County closed due to multiple crashes

ALLEGAN COUNTY, MI - Michigan State Police alerted drivers to multiple crashes disrupting traffic north of South Haven in Allegan County on Tuesday morning.

The accidents took place along Interstate 196, according to an advisory from MSP Fifth District at 10:39 a.m. No injuries were immediately reported.

Wayland Post troopers closed down northbound I-196 at mile marker 22 at North Shore Drive while the scene was being cleared. Motorists were advised to seek alternate routes. The roadway reopened by 1 p.m.
