MUSKEGON COUNTY, MI - Michigan State Police said a crash on US-31 in Muskegon County Saturday night resulted in multiple injuries.
According to WZZM, the accident occurred on US-31 north near Exit 121 at Russell Road shortly before 7:30 p.m. A preliminary investigation determined that the driver of a passenger van was changing lanes when the vehicle collided with a pickup truck in the right lane.
The impact caused the van to go off the roadway and roll several times. The driver of the van was ejected and transported to an area hospital, where she was listed in serious condition.
One of her passengers, a teenager, was also hospitalized but the person's condition was not disclosed. Other passengers in the van sustained injuries that were not life-threatening. The pickup truck driver was not injured.
The accident shut down northbound US-31 for about three and a half hours while the wreck was being cleared.
