CASS COUNTY, MI - A car accident in Cass County sent a driver to the hospital on Saturday night, the Cass County Sheriff's Office said.
WSBT reports a woman was driving in the area of Hospital Street and M-60 when the crash occurred just after 8:45 p.m.
The sheriff's office said the driver disregarded a stop sign while heading west on Hospital Street and lost control of her vehicle. The vehicle went down an embankment and crashed into a wooded lot along M-60.
The driver, a 20-year-old woman from Edwardsburg, sustained minor injuries and was taken to an area hospital. She was wearing her seat belt at the time the incident took place.
Investigators do not believe that drugs or alcohol were contributing factors in the crash.
